EPA Roadmap to Success

A clear visual guide showing the complete journey from on-programme learning through to EPA results.

1

On-Programme Learning

15-18 months, before gateway

Full-time apprentices typically spend 15-18 months on-programme (before gateway) working towards the occupational standard, with off-the-job training as per current funding rules.

📋 Good2Go Mock EPA Support

After 4 Months – Mock EPA for Gap Analysis (Suggested Activity). Use observation sheet in EPA Toolkit for relevant pathway to identify areas for training & support.

After 8 Months – Mock EPA for Gap Analysis (Suggested Activity). Use observation & discussion templates in EPA toolkit for relevant pathway to ensure any gaps from previous mock have been addressed.

2

Gateway

Sign-off from apprentice, employer & training provider
  • Consistently working at or above the level of the occupational standard
  • Achieved Level 2 Diploma in Manufacturing (knowledge and skills)
  • Complete English and Maths in line with the current Apprenticeship funding rules
